Sarah M. Robbins

My paintings are the reflection of the world I perceive and my release of emotions and frustrations. While most of my work is never intentional, I tend to paint organic scenes mixed with what I call my mental landscapes, the world that is building and growing within my mind.

I believe we are battling barriers of all kinds every day; mentally, physically and emotionally.  For the past four years I have used both bold oils and acrylics, constructing a world so I see, in a physical way, how I am feeling and address it. Somehow, it usually comes out in hues of blues and yellows like the contrast of my yin and yang, my hopes and thoughts that battles inside.

Yet it is my curiosity of these lives we live, internally and externally, that inspire and ignite me as well as the constant stream of media that we are all exposed to. The rest is up to the moment.
